Senior Management “Shared Sacrifice”

Upper level management at UCSF (vice presidents and above) will only have to sacrifice some vacation days and possibly have to take a few unpaid days of work, neither of which will have much of an impact on their quality of life. Meanwhile, UC staff are faced with the threat of furloughs, layoffs, and severe cuts in pay as a result of pandemic-related budget issues.
